About the Platform
A More Focused Approach to Test Preparation
APStudy is an online SAT and AP practice platform designed to help students study with greater direction. Instead of treating every completed question as finished work, the platform encourages students to use mistakes as a starting point for future learning.
Students can identify repeated weaknesses, organize incorrect questions, return to difficult material over time, and focus on the topics that need the most attention.
The platform was shaped by the idea that improvement does not come only from doing more questions, but from understanding why mistakes happen and reviewing them before the underlying knowledge fades.

About Us

Yongyan Liu
Founder and Lead Developer
Yongyan Liu created APStudy after reflecting on both his own learning experience and his work with SAT students.
He found that completing more questions was not always enough. Meaningful improvement often came from studying incorrect answers, identifying repeated patterns, and revisiting difficult material after time had passed. This mistake-based learning process became one of the main ideas behind APStudy.
Inspired by spaced review and the forgetting curve, Yongyan designed the platform to help students return to missed questions before important ideas fade from memory. Students can organize mistakes by topic, review weak areas over time, and skip material they have already mastered.
After completing more than 50 SAT Math tutoring sessions and over 70 hours of instruction, he saw that many students were willing to work hard but lacked clear guidance about what to study next. APStudy was built to turn practice results into personalized and actionable feedback.
